Golf isn’t known as the most fitness-oriented sport in the world, but that doesn’t mean those who play at the highest level aren’t serious athletes.
Competing against the best players on the golf course requires a certain amount of fitness. The physical strain of walking 18 holes every day can add up quickly, and without proper care of your body, your swing can quickly fall apart. To prevent that, professional golfers need to take proper care of their bodies.
For some, that means added stretch and mobility, but for others, it means less bulk and more durability. That meant I lost 30 pounds in less than 5 months.
according to golf digestAfter missing out on the Tour championship, the 36-year-old decided he needed to be in the shape he needed to play his best golf. I noticed that it’s not. So he set out to make a change.
“I didn’t feel very good overall,” said Bradley. “But on the track, I felt a little tired.”
Bradley, who weighed 220 pounds at the end of last season, consulted a nutritionist in an attempt to change his diet. Any recommendations? Eat a diet that consists almost entirely of meat.
“You can eat it by walking, swimming, and flying. I also ate a lot of fruit,” said Bradley. golf digest. “So I eat eggs in the morning, chicken or ground beef at lunch, and steak at night. All grass-fed meats are key. No vegetables. No condiments, no side dishes, no starch, not even ketchup. I did.” was just salt, pepper, and hot sauce.”
In addition to eating meat, Bradley also gave up soda and Gatorade. He avoided most weight training and instead focused on cardio exercises such as stationary bikes and elliptical training.
“This is what I’ve been doing for months, and it’s very difficult,” said Bradley. “When I was craving pizza and pasta, I used to say to myself, ‘No, this is part of the journey.’ It’s part of the process. But I feel good. I am proud to have done it.”
In less than five months, Bradley has lost 30 pounds. This has benefited his game of golf. During the fall stretch of the PGA Tour, the five-time winner achieved three top 25 finishes, including winning the ZOZO Championship.
“At ZOZO, when I finished my stretches, I felt so good, and I felt so good all week long,” Bradley said. Wrapped up a good week. And I just felt like [I did in] A few years ago.
