Another US Open is heading to the historic Winged Foot. The USGA announced Monday that the West Course at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, New York has been selected to host the 2028 US Open.
The 2028 US Open will be the seventh time it will be held at Winged Foot and the first since Bryson DeChambeau won the 2020 US Championship.
USGA Chief Championship Officer John Bodenhammer said: “We strive to provide our players with the best stages to compete for national championships, and few are as spectacular as Winged Feet.”
Winged Foot has two courses, East and West, both designed by AW Tillinghast and opened in 1923. Gilhans refurbished and restored the West Course in 2018.
The USGA currently has the next eight US Open Sites scheduled, with many other future locations announced.
